Recently, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin held a policy briefing on incentives for high-end and urgently needed talent, as well as living subsidies, attracting around 150 representatives from key enterprises in the zone.

During the session, officials outlined the core elements of the policies, focusing on eligibility criteria, recognition requirements, application procedures, and methods to access the benefits. The briefing also provided a detailed introduction to the recently launched application process for the 2026 living subsidies for newly introduced academic, professional, technical, and skilled talent in Hengqin.
Through targeted policy explanations and on-site Q&A sessions, the event helped enterprises better understand and utilize policy incentives, thereby accelerating applications for talent-related benefits in the cooperation zone.
The measures have strongly supported the attraction and retention of talent in four key industries: traditional Chinese medicine and big health, modern financial services, high technology, and conventions and exhibitions, commerce and trade, and culture and sports, becoming an important driver of Macao's appropriately diversified economic development. Over the past year, applications for two major talent incentive policies in the zone exceeded 30,000 cases.
