Funding applications are now open for degree-holding, professional, technical, and skilled personnel in the Guangdong-Macao In-depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin. The application period runs from January 19 to March 6, 2026. Eligible degree-holding and professional or technical talents may receive up to 270,000 yuan in living subsidies, while eligible skilled talents may receive up to 60,000 yuan.
Applicants must be employed by enterprises or institutions that are legally registered in Hengqin and have substantive operations there during the application year. They must actually be working for these employers and possess the required academic qualifications, professional titles, or vocational qualifications.
Applicants must also meet certain age requirements. For degree-holding talents, doctoral degree holders must be no older than 50, and master's degree holders no older than 45. Applicants are required to have continuously paid individual income tax and social insurance in the Cooperation Zone and must still be contributing by the end date of the subsidy application. In addition, applicants must have signed labor contracts with employers in the Cooperation Zone for a cumulative period of three years (or two years for skilled talents), or newly signed contracts of three years or longer (or two years or longer for skilled talents).
This round of subsidy applications only covers applicants who meet the eligibility criteria up to December 31, 2025.
