New cold wave to bring temp down 5-8℃ on March 18 and 19

A moderate cold wave is forecasted to influence Guangdong from March 18 to 19, bringing a drop in temperature of 5-8℃ and rainy weather, according to the Guangdong Meteorological Service.

The cold snap will first arrive in northern Guangdong on the afternoon of March 18 and ultimately affect most parts of the province in the evening.

On March 19, most of the Pearl River Delta and western Guangdong will see light rain to overcast skies. Other regions will be overcast to cloudy. The lowest temperatures will range from 9℃ to 13℃ in northern Guangdong, 18℃ to 20℃ in western Guangdong and the southern Pearl River Delta, and 14℃ to 17℃ in the remaining areas.

March 20 will witness an increase in temperatures. Western Guangdong will experience cloudy skies with occasional overcast spells, while other regions will be cloudy with sunny periods. The lowest temperatures will stay around 8-12℃ in northern Guangdong, 16-18℃ in southern coastal areas, and 13-16℃ in the remaining areas.

On March 21, there will be cloudy-to-overcast weather patterns in the western part of the province, with scattered light rain and mist in the evening. Other regions will be cloudy with overcast periods. The lowest temperatures will range between 9℃ and 13℃ in northern and eastern Guangdong, 16℃ to 19℃ in the Leizhou peninsula, and 13℃ to 17℃ in the remaining areas.
