GZ’s Nansha and Bali Island sign agreement to open cruise route

On December 11, the Commerce Bureau of Nansha District, Guangzhou and the Bali Tourism Board of Indonesia signed a memorandum of understanding to promote cruise routes cooperation and enhance friendly relations between the two sides.

Dr. Ben Perkasa Drajat, Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou, and Ida Bagus Agung Partha Adnyana, Chairman of the Bali Tourism Board Indonesia, visited the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport that day.

They met with officials from the Commerce Bureau of Nansha District, the Foreign Affairs Office of Nansha District Committee, and representatives from Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport Operation and Management Co., Ltd. and Nansha District Service Trade Association, discussing the issues of construction and operation of cruise ports in Bali and Nansha.

Dr. Ben Perkasa Drajat said that under the Belt and Road Initiative, Bali and Nansha have established a close partnership, frequently visiting and interacting with each other. There are numerous areas for cooperation between the Bali and Nansha, especially in trade, culture, and tourism. He expressed the hope to further expand personnel exchanges in the future.

The Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport is one of the largest cruise home port complexes in Asia, with a 225-thousand-gross-tonnage cruise berth and a 100-thousand-gross-tonnage cruise berth.
