North section of Liwan Road to resume traffic on Sunday

According to Guangzhou Metro, the northern section of Liwan Road will reopen to traffic from 0:00 on May 14, 2023. The north section of Liwan Road will resume six-lane traffic in both directions, and Xihua Road (the north section of Liwan Road to North Kangwang Road) will resume two-lane traffic in both directions.

Bus route adjustment

Since the resumption of traffic in the northern section of Liwan Road, some bus routes will also resume the original lines and pass through Liwan Road. The resumption will start on May 14, 2023.

A total of 17 bus routes, including No. 9, 15, 52, 55, 88, 105, 133, 260, 268, 275, 530, 555, Night 6, Night 11, Night 30, Night 59, and Night 95 will no longer pass through Xihua Road, Kangwang North Road, Liuhua Road, and will instead resume the original route that takes Liwan Road. Bus stops, including Liwan Road station and Rainbow Bridge station on Liwan Road, will also resume operation.

Bus yards are now available for parking

Bus yards in Guangzhou are now opening parking services to communities. There are 48 bus yards in Guangzhou available for parking vehicles, with 1,364 additional parking spaces.

Six bus yards in Liwan provide parking services, including Xiwan Road, Huangsha, Pantang, Guanggang Xincheng, Fanghe Garden, and Lingnan V Valley. These yards are distributed in the north and south of Liwan and involve the surrounding areas of residential areas, scenic spots, shopping malls, and industrial parks, which will provide convenience for residents.

Thirty-eight bus yards have charging services among the 48 bus yards, with 2 hours of free parking service. There are also convenient facilities such as a driver's lounge and vending machines for people to take breaks during charging time.
