According to CR Guangzhou, it will arrive in Europe through the Horgos Port in Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.

This year, the number of China-Europe freight trains departing from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) has hit a record high, up by 85 percent year on year.

In October alone, the number of trains leaving from Guangzhou, Dongguan, and Shenzhen went up by 25 percent year on year.

"The steady operation of China-Europe freight trains has effectively ensured the free flow of producer goods and living materials for countries and regions along the route. That's also one of the important reasons behind the rising number of trains in the GBA," said Ning Zan, deputy director of the Guangzhou Freight Center.

So far, 356,800 tons of industrial and supply chain materials have been transported by trains from GBA.

Furthermore, there have also been 112,000 tons of anti-epidemic materials (masks, protective suits, and disinfection gloves) delivered to Europe, making an important contribution to the global efforts in the fight against the COVID-19.

In the future, CR Guangzhou will expand more routes to South Asia (Laos) and Central Asia, as well as keep a stable increase of China-Europe freight trains, authorities from the freight department of CR Guangzhou said.
