The Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province launched a series of activities to foster the province's cross-border e-commerce and the related industrial belts in Shantou on February 27. Nearly 600 representatives from the municipal commerce bureaus of cities in eastern Guangdong, as well as SHEIN, Amazon, TikTok, Jingdong, 1688, Tmall, Alibaba and other global leading cross-border e-commerce platforms and service providers attended these activities.

During the event, SHEIN and Amazon introduced the latest investment policies for the industrial belts in 2024 and conducted an in-depth analysis of the new opportunities in the toy and textile industries in the European and American markets. Lazada, Ozon, Egatee and MercadoLibre shared new opportunities for cross-border e-commerce in emerging markets, such as Southeast Asia, Russia, Africa and Latin America.
In addition, in order to help small and medium-sized manufacturing enterprises in the industrial belts to push forward overseas marketing promotion, the Guangdong E-business Association has also carried out a policy interpretation on the province's marketing promotion services.

On the day, there were nearly 50 exhibition booths for cross-border e-commerce service providers to display products such as textiles, garments, and toys, and to get in touch with their clients. This allowed the enterprises based in eastern Guangdong to enjoy better cross-border e-commerce services.
Later on, a series of activities for Guangdong's cross-border e-commerce and related industrial belts will continue to to be held in the Pearl River Delta, western and northern Guangdong. This will inject new vitality into the development of high-quality industrial belt enterprises in the province.
