With the Chinese Lunar New Year around the corner, it is customary for people in Guangdong to visit "Flower Street" in search of good luck for the coming year. Among all the flower fairs, the Flower Market in Yuexiu District, the most representative traditional flower market in Guangzhou, will open its doors on February 6.

To add to the cheer, GDToday will set up a special "Good Luck Station" at the Yuexiu Flower Market (Booth No. 80, Jiaoyu Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou), where you can grab a guide to the flower market. You will also have a chance to win some beautiful gifts by downloading the GDToday app and following GDToday's official WeChat account and video account on-site. All are welcome, and no reservation is needed.
To make your visit even more memorable, about 20 groups of foreign friends (each group consisting of 1-4 persons, with at least one expat) will be invited to participate in a flower market treasure hunt activity. Participants need to find some special Chinese New Year (CNY) goods at the Flower Market.
The activity is limited to a certain amount of time, after which each group will share their feelings and why they purchased these CNY goods. Those who stand out at the activity will get extra secret gifts.
We sincerely invite you, together with your family and friends, for an exciting flower market trip and Chinese New Year celebration!
