48h COVID negative certificate not required to leave Guangzhou

On May 9, Guangdong reported 15 new locally transmitted cases (including 3 converted from asymptomatic infections), among which 2 were in Guangzhou, 1 in Shenzhen, and 12 in Zhanjiang. A total of 6 new local asymptomatic cases were also detected, including 1 in Shenzhen, and 5 in Zhanjiang.

2 new locally transmitted cases reported in Guangzhou 

On May 9, Guangzhou reported 2 locally transmitted cases, who were converted from previously reported asymptomatic cases). 

Case 1: living in Guangtang Village, Xinya Subdistrict, Huadu District (花都区新雅街道广塘村). The case was an asymptomatic case reported on May 3.

Case 2: living in Hebian Village, Helong Subdistrict, Baiyun District (白云区鹤龙街道鹤边村). The case was an asymptomatic case reported on May 8.

Starting from May 10, travelers departing from Guangzhou via airport, railway, or highway no longer need to hold a 48-hour nucleic acid test negative certificate, except for those who need to enter Beijing.

Travelers to Beijing also need to hold a green health code in Health Kit (Jiankang Bao) mini-program.

Other passengers only need to provide the green code and have body temperature checked to take the above forms of public transportation to leave Guangzhou.

Shenzhen reports 1+1 new local cases, mass testing started in Bantian

On May 9, Shenzhen detected 2 new cases during screening of arrivals from another province and their close contacts, including 1 locally transmitted case and 1 asymptomatic infection.

Case 1 lives in the China Southern Airlines Pearl Garden, Hangcheng Subdistrict, Bao’an District (宝安区航城街道南航明珠花园) and was detected during screening of close contacts who returned to Shenzhen from another province.

Case 2 lives in Phase No.8, Vanke Fifth Park, Bantian Subdistrict, Longgang District (龙岗区坂田街道万科第五园八期), and was detected during screening of the close contacts of case 1.

The travel history of new cases involves Minzhi Subdistrict in Longhua District, Hangcheng Subdistrict in Bao’an District, and Taoyuan Subdistrict in Nanshan District (龙华区民治街道、宝安区航城街道、南山区桃源街道).

On May 9, a resident in Bantian Subdistrict, Shenzhen tested positive for COVID. There is a possibility of community transmission.

From 8:00 to 22:00 on May 10, Bantian Subdistrict (坂田街道) is conducting mass nucleic acid testing.

Zhanjiang reports 12+5 local cases

Zhanjiang on Monday reported 12 new locally transmitted cases and 5 asymptomatic infections. They were all detected during screening of key populations who were under COVID-19 control.

Cases 1-8 are staff members working at Zhanjiang Jinguo Warehousing Co., Ltd (湛江市巾帼仓储有限公司). 

Case 9 is a student at Guandu Secondary School in Potou District (坡头区官渡中学).

Case 10 works at Zhanjiang Xixian Aquatic Products Co., Ltd. (湛江喜鲜水产有限公司).

Case 11 is a student at Guandu Primary School in Potou District (坡头区官渡小学).

Case 12 was a previously reported asymptomatic case.

The above-mentioned cases were diagnosed as locally transmitted COVID-19 cases (mild type).

Asymptomatic case 1 is a student at Gaoling Primary School, Guandu Town, Potou District (坡头区官渡镇高岭小学).

Asymptomatic case 2 and 3 live at Gaoling Village, Guandu Town, Potou District (坡头区官渡镇高岭村).

Asymptomatic case 4 lives at Tuanliu Village, Liangling Town, Lianjiang City (廉江市良垌镇湍流村).

Asymptomatic case 5 is a staff member working at Zhanjiang Jinguo Warehousing Co., Ltd.
