From October 15 to November 4, the 136th Canton Fair is held in Guangzhou. Many foreign merchants are taking this opportunity to explore Guangzhou. So, where and how can you enjoy the city?

Pearl River Pati Beer Cultural and Creative Art Zone (珠江琶醍啤酒文化创意艺术区)

This area, transformed from an old brewery site, was the birthplace of Pearl River Beer and has become one of the trendiest nightlife hubs in Guangzhou.
Stretching 800 meters along the Pearl River, it offers stunning views of the Zhujiang New Town and Haixinsha Island across the river.
The area boasts a diverse selection of restaurants and bars, including Pier One (French restaurant), Jiangjing Wharf Bar (Pati Branch), and Suns Bar Lounge, all serving a wide array of international cuisines.
During the Canton Fair, holders of buyer or exhibitor badges can enjoy discounts at many restaurants.
Additionally, from October 25 to 27, the 8th Party Beer Festival (琶醍啤酒节) will feature creative markets, food and drinks, and trendy music, enabling you to experience a unique side of Guangzhou's nightlife.
Guangzhou Haizhu Tram (广州海珠有轨电车)

The tram route, praised as the "most beautiful 7 kilometers of Guangzhou", connects the scenic spots of the city's most beautiful sights: the colorful Canton Tower, the spectacular Liede Bridge, the "City Garden" Pazhou Pagoda, and the Pazhou Exhibition Center Area.
The tram operates daily from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm, with a frequency of about every 15 minutes, covering the full route in approximately 25 minutes. Weekends and holidays may see larger crowds, so plan your trip accordingly.
Butterfield & Swire's Godowns & Wharf and Dashatou Wharf (太古仓码头、大沙头码头)

Taikoo Wharf (太古仓码头) and Dashatou Wharf (大沙头码头) offer a unique culinary experience combining water sightseeing and Zao Cha (literally morning tea).
Since its establishment in August 2020, Guangzhou Hao • Water Teahouse (广州好·水上茶居) has expanded to three locations. The first is on the Jinfang Cruise (金舫号) at Dashatou Wharf, followed by the Information Times (信息号) at Tianzi Wharf, and finally the Nanhaishen Cruise (南海神号) at Butterfield & Swire's Godowns & Wharf.
Taking the third cruise route as an example, it starts from Butterfield & Swire's Godowns & Wharf and extends eastward to Tianzi Wharf (天字码头). During the journey, visitors can enjoy traditional Cantonese dim sum like shrimp dumplings, Siu Mai, and turnip cake, along with unique treats like French fresh fruit Napoleon, with over 50 options available.
You can also head to the outdoor decks on the second and third floors of the cruise to appreciate the rich Lingnan cultural charm along the scenery of Xiguan.
Shamian Island (沙面岛)

Shamian Island, a national 5A scenic area, is one of Guangzhou's most historic destinations, with a story that dates back to the Tang Dynasty. Once a bustling commercial port, it later became Guangzhou's earliest commercial hub and foreign embassy district, as well as one of the earliest open ports in the city.
Visitors can admire numerous historical buildings and sites, including the former sites of British, French, and German consulates.
In addition to soaking in the historical atmosphere, there are cafés, Western restaurants, and creative snacks available. The landmark White Swan Hotel, offering a distinctive local accommodation option, is also located here.
