Latest update on Guangzhou Metro's lines under construction

Guangzhou Metro announced that all the covers at the Chatou depot of Line 12 have been installed.

So far, 76% of the civil work on Line 12 (Xunfenggang-Higher Education Mega Center South) has been completed. Out of the 25 stations, 17 have been topped out and eight are currently under construction; of the 24 sections, 16 have been connected, six are under civil work, and the remaining two are in the pre-construction phase.

As of the end of December 2023, the construction progress of other metro lines under construction is as follows:

The east extension of Line 3 (Panyu Square-Haibang) has seen 98% of its civil construction completed. All four stations have been topped out and are now undergoing electrical and mechanical work.

Line 10 (Xilang-Shipaiqiao) has completed 82% of its civil work. Out of the 14 stations, 12 have been topped out, one is under civil work, and the remaining one is in the preliminary preparation phase. The Guanggang New Town depot is currently undergoing civil, mechanical, and electrical work.

Line 11, Guangzhou Metro's first loop line, has completed 96% of its civil work. Out of the 32 stations, two stations are open, 28 stations have begun electrical and mechanical work, one is under civil construction, and the other is in the preparation phase.

77% of the civil work on Line 13 Phase II (Chaoyang-Yuzhu) has been completed. Out of the 23 stations, 13 have been installed and 10 are currently under civil construction.

The second phase of Line 14 (Jiahewanggang-Guangzhou Railway Station) has completed 56% of its civil work. Out of the eight stations, four have their main structures installed, three are under civil construction, and one is in the preliminary preparation phase.

Line 18 (Xiancun-Guangzhou East Railway Station) has completed 40% of its civil work.

A total of 49% of the civil work on Line 22 (Chentougang-Fangcun) has been completed. Out of the four stations, two have their main structures installed and two are currently under civil construction.

(Note: Some station names are only temporary for the project, and the official station names will be subject to approval and announcement by the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality.)
