​China-Netherlands Business Liaison Guangzhou Office set in Nansha

The China-Netherlands Business Council Guangzhou Liaison Office was recently inaugurated in Guangzhou's Nansha District.

The office aims to promote economic and trade cooperation between China's Guangzhou and Netherlands as well as other European Union countries, taking advantage of the preferential policies in Guangzhou's Nansha and the sound foundation of Sino-Dutch friendship.

According to the Nansha government, the office will serve enterprises in Guangzhou and the Netherlands by organizing economic and trading events, hosting exhibitions, and providing business information and legal service. It's expected to stimulate trade, investment, and technological exchanges between the two sides.

Zhang Yan, Deputy Director of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Guangzhou Committee, Guangzhou's electric vehicles (EV) are in great demand overseas, and the CCPIT Guangzhou Committee will facilitate EV export with further services.

Zhang noted that from January to April this year, the industrial output value of new energy vehicles increased by 89.7 percent while the output grew 1.2 times respectively, and the export of new energy vehicles has also increased.

Pan Yuzhang, a staff member of the Administrative Committee of Nansha Development Zone, said that Nansha has advanced facilities at the three automobile ro-ro wharves at the Nansha Port with an annual throughput capacity of more than 1.8 million vehicles, which can berth the largest automobile ro-ro ships in the world.
