During July, Guangdong reported three public health incidents, resulting in a total of eight illnesses and three fatalities, according to the Health Commission of Guangdong Province.

The incidents involved food poisoning attributed to bongkrek acid (BA), a deadly toxin, with two death cases reported in Dongguan and Jieyang, respectively.
Zhaoqing's Gaoyao District reported six individuals suffering from poisoning on a construction site, leading to one fatality.
Residents are advised to exercise caution regarding food safety practices and to pay attention to symptoms of food poisoning.
