"From now on, Guangzhou will adjust COVID-19 quarantine period for close contacts and inbound travelers, and no longer identify secondary close contacts of confirmed cases. Quarantine will be lifted for the secondary close contacts currently in quarantine," Zhang Yi, deputy director of the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, said at the press conference on the city's fight against COVID-19 today (November 11).

On November 10, Guangdong reported 289 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 cases and 2,461 new asymptomatic infections. In addition, there were 257 local confirmed cases converted from previous asymptomatic cases.
Guangzhou reports 2,583 new local COVID-19 infections
"On November 10, Guangzhou reported 2,583 new local COVID-19 infections, of which 26 were detected during screening at the community level or among people who sought medical treatment, and the remaining were detected during quarantine or in high-risk areas. Among the new infections, 2,358 were asymptomatic and 225 were mild-type," Zhang Yi said at the press conference held on November 11.
Haizhu District reported 2,423 cases on November 10, which mainly concentrated in Kanglu area of Fengyang Subdistrict. In the controlled areas of Huazhou's Longtan and Nanzhou's Datang , cases are increasing.
Zhang Yi reminds, residents whose health codes have recently turned red after leaving Haizhu should report to the community, and conduct 3-day home quarantine. Medical staff will provide door-to-door nucleic acid sampling services. After 3 days, the code will turn green if no abnormalities show.
The epidemic in Liwan's Xicun and Zhanqian subdistricts has been contained to some degree. However, there are still some secondary infected cases in the risk areas. Chongkou and Baihedong subdistricts reported positive cases on Thursday, with a risk of transmission at the community level.
In Panyu District, the cases were concentrated in Luopu, Dashi, and Zhongcun subdistricts. There were also several new cases at the community level in Qiaonan and Xiaoguwei subdistricts. The risk of community transmission remains high.
Tianhe's Tangxia Subdistrict added scattered infections related to the cases in Liwan. The epidemic-related sites have now been placed under control.
In Baiyun District, the number of positive cases detected at the community level has decreased significantly in the past two days, and the epidemic situation has stabilized.

Shenzhen reports 3+1 new local cases
On November 10, Shenzhen reported 3 new confirmed cases and 1 new asymptomatic infection, among which 2 were detected during centralized quarantine, 1 during home quarantine, and 1 during screening of key individuals under non-closed-loop management.
Dongguan reports 2+29 new asymptomatic cases
On November 10, Dongguan reported 2 new confirmed cases (1 in Shipai Town and 1 in Houjie Town) and 29 asymptomatic infections (22 in Dalingshan Town, 6 in Dalang Town, and 1 in Dongcheng Subdistrict).
Among the new cases, 27 were detected among close contacts during centralized quarantine, 2 during screening of key individuals under closed-loop and non-closed-loop management respectively, 1 after the individual sought medical attention, and 1 during screening at the community level.
Maoming reports 23+21 new local cases
On November 10, Maoming's Maonan District added 17 new confirmed cases and 8 asymptomatic infections. Among the confirmed cases, 13 were detected during centralized quarantine, 3 during home quarantine, and 1 during screening of quarantined people in high-risk areas. Among the asymptomatic infections, 7 were detected during centralized quarantine and 1 during screening in high-risk areas.
On the same day, Gaozhou detected 5 new confirmed cases and 13 asymptomatic infections among quarantined people, and Huazhou reported 1 new positive case among quarantined people.
Meizhou reports 23 new asymptomatic cases
On November 10, Meizhou's Fengshun County reported 2 new asymptomatic cases during centralized quarantine, and Meixian District added 21 asymptomatic cases, among which 5 were detected during home quarantine, 8 during centralized quarantine, and 8 during screening in high-risk areas.
Huizhou reports 2+2 new local cases
From 00:00 to 14:00 on November 10, Huizhou's Daya Bay District reported 1 new confirmed case (mild type) while Huidong County reported 2 asymptomatic infections. The patients were all detected among travelers from other provincial-level regions.
From 20:00 to 23:00 on the same day, Huizhou's Boluo County detected 1 new confirmed case (mild type)during the cross-regional investigation of travelers from other provincial-level regions.
Zhongshan reports 2 new confirmed cases
On November 10, Zhongshan reported 2 new confirmed cases (mild type). One was detected after the individual sought medical attention in the fever clinic, and the other among close contacts during centralized quarantine.
Shaoguan's Wujiang District reports 1 positive case
On November 11, Wujiang District detected 1 positive case among travelers from another city. The patient was diagnosed as an asymptomatic case.
Yangjiang's Yangchun reports 1 new confirmed case
From 00:00 to 12:00 on November 10, Yangjiang's Yangchun detected 1 new confirmed case (mild type) among quarantined close contacts.
Jieyang's Puning reports 5 new asymptomatic case
On November 10, Jieyang's Puning added 5 asymptomatic cases. The patients were all detected among quarantined close contacts.
