Chinese Kung Fu shines in Paris with the participation of Nanshan enterprise

On the occasion of the Paris Olympics and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France, People's Daily has teamed up with Guangdong Satellite TV, Guo Jiyong, a director of San Ren Xing Films Co., Ltd. (an enterprise based in Shenzhen’s Nanshan), Ling Yun, the inheritor of Emei martial arts intangible cultural heritage, the Emei Women's Kung Fu Team, and Peng Jingxuan, a young guzheng performer in France. Together, they have co-created "Blooming in Paris," a groundbreaking film that blends the elements of kung fu, sports and music.

The film "Blooming in Paris" has linked urban landmarks such as the Palais de Chaillot, Pont de Bir-Hakeim, the Louvre and the Versailles, introducing traditional Chinese culture to the audience.

At the Pont des Arts

The guzheng performer gently plucked the strings as the melodious Chinese song spread far and wide.

In front of the Louvre

He Yunong, a member of the Kung Fu team, engaged in a duel with a fencer. The two distinct sword arts demonstrated profound Chinese cultural heritage and Olympic spirit.

At Pont de Bir-Hakeim

Another team member Li Nuofei leaped onto the bridge with a light figure to showcase gymnastics and martial arts, as well as the vigor of young people.

At the Versailles

Duan Ruru met an Olympic street dance competitor and engaged in an intense dance battle.

At the Graffiti Art Basketball Court

Chen Yufei engaged with a basketball player. After the basketball player passed the ball, Chen Yufei used the clever force of Tai Chi to lightly throw the ball into the hoop. The softness of Tai Chi and the dynamism of basketball are cleverly combined, showcasing the beauty of sport and cultural inclusiveness.

With the sound of the guzheng, Ling Yun used the light Gong Fu and movement techniques in martial arts to interpret the image of hurdling, using martial arts to pay tribute to the Olympic spirit and express love for sports competitions.

Finally, Ling Yun and the Emei Women's Kung Fu Team gathered at the bridge. Accompanied by the sound of guzheng, they staged a stunning kung fu show, displaying the demeanor of the Chinese women's team and the charm of Chinese guzheng and martial arts.

"We hope that through our efforts, we can inspire more young people to devote themselves to cultural heritage and innovation. Looking forward, we will continue to make efforts to help Chinese culture bloom even more dazzlingly on the world stage," said Guo Jiyong.
