During the New Year holiday, Guangzhou Metro saw a total passenger volume of 29.355 million, averaging 9.785 million per day, a year-on-year increase of 107%.

The total passenger flow of Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway (Huadu Station to Qingcheng Station) and the Guangzhou East Ring Intercity Railway (Huadu Station to Baiyun Airport North Station) reached 60,177, with an average daily passenger flow of 20,059, an increase of 292.5% compared to the previous year.
On December 31, 2023, Guangzhou Metro's network witnessed around 10.81 million passengers, a record high for a holiday.

During the three-day holiday, Line 3, including the north extension, experienced the highest passenger volume with 6.045 million passengers, followed by Line 2 with 3.788 million passengers.
The top three stations with the highest passenger volume are large transfer stations as usual, namely Tiyu Xilu, Jiahewanggang, and Zhujiang New Town.
