Waves of cold snaps are expected to influence Guangdong until February 27, according to the provincial meteorological service.
From February 24 to February 25, most parts of the province will be cloudy with scattered light rain, while the northern region may have the chance to see freezing rain and icy roads. Lows will be 3 degrees Celsius to 7 degrees Celsius in Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing, and Heyuan, 14 degrees Celsius to 20 degrees Celsius in the southern coastal areas, and 8 degrees Celsius to 14 degrees Celsius in the remaining areas.

February 26 and February 27 will see the arrival of a new weak cold front, bringing overcast-to-cloudy skies to most parts of the province. The northern part of Guangdong will still remain chilly.
On February 26, Shaoguan, Qingyuan, and Zhaoqing will be overcast with scattered light rain. Eastern Guangdong and the eastern Pearl River Delta will be mainly cloudy. Other regions will be cloudy with localized scattered light rain. Lows will be 5 degrees Celsius to 9 degrees Celsius in Shaoguan, Qingyuan, Zhaoqing, and Heyuan, 15 degrees Celsius to 21 degrees Celsius in the southern coastal areas, and 9 degrees Celsius to 14 degrees Celsius in the remaining areas.
February 28 and February 29 are expected to embrace an increase in temperatures, though new cold fronts are forecast to affect the province on March 1.
