On October 14, an exploration group of media representatives from Hong Kong and Macao, global KOLs, young entrepreneurs from Macao, and students (hereinafter referred to as the exploration group) embarked on a cultural journey to Guangdong's Jieyang. They experienced the city's urban landscape, history, and cultural heritage.
With a recorded history spanning over 2,200 years, Jieyang is an important birthplace of Chaoshan culture. In Rongcheng District, the first stop of their Jieyang journey, the exploration group visited the Sun Shuqiang Martial Arts Lion Dance Hall, Wanyang Science and Technology City, and Donghu Academy, and toured landmark attractions such as the Jinxian Gate Tower, Jieyang Confucius Temple, and Ding Richang Memorial Hall.

The exploration group first visited the Sun Shuqiang Martial Arts Lion Dance Hall, where they watched a Rongcheng green lion performance. The green lion dance has a history of over 300 years in Jieyang, symbolizing people's wishes for good fortune and to ward off evil spirits. The Sun Shuqiang lion dance troupe, currently with more than 500 members, is the largest professional lion dance troupe in eastern Guangdong.

At 2 pm, the exploration group arrived at Donghu Park, explored Donghu Academy, and visited the paper-cutting exhibition by Jieyang artist Xu Shubin.
The rise of academies in Jieyang began during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127–1279). According to incomplete statistics, there were 24 academies in Jieyang from the Southern Song Dynasty to the late Qing Dynasty (1644–1911). In recent years, reading cultural venues represented by Donghu Academy have brought a continuous flow of scholarly charm to Jieyang residents.
