On the afternoon of August 9, the 2024 "Youth Huangpu Journey" Hong Kong and Macao Youth Social Practice Activity and the Hong Kong and Macao Enterprises Landing Signing Ceremony were held in Guangzhou's Huangpu District.
At the closing ceremony, nearly 80 Hong Kong and Macao youths performed meticulously planned original stage plays, song choruses, recitations, and other programs, and presented independently created Vlogs, essays, and photography works, showcasing what they saw, heard, and learned during their internships in Huangpu, expressing their praise for the history, culture, technological innovation, and policy services of the Greater Bay Area.
The 2024 "Youth Huangpu Journey" activity began on July 14 and lasted for one month, following a "Internship + Study tour" dual experience model. In addition to professional internships and workplace experiences in different industries, Hong Kong and Macao youths also participated in themed activities such as the 100th anniversary commemoration of the Huangpu (Whampoa) Military Academy, visits to science and innovation enterprises, and the Hong Kong and Macao Youth Group Birthday Party.
Li Zhuoyan, a Macao youth from Fudan University, said that Huangpu District provided Hong Kong and Macao youths with a broad stage for career development with its concrete and practical policy support. The practical experience of participating in the "Youth Huangpu Journey" has enriched her own internship experience and strengthened her confidence in developing in the Greater Bay Area in the future.
The series of activities of the "Youth Huangpu Journey" have been held for six consecutive years. From the recruitment in March to the closing ceremony in August every year, it fully mobilizes the power of the Hong Kong and Macao governments, Hong Kong and Macao universities, and enterprises in Huangpu District, providing high-quality internship and practice positions and logistical support services for Hong Kong and Macao youths.
Guangzhou Development District and Huangpu District have been adhering to the integration of the "industry chain, innovation chain, capital chain, and talent chain," and have improved the convenience measures for Hong Kong and Macao youths to come to Guangzhou. They have also focused on promoting the alignment of rules and mechanisms between Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, attracting a growing number of Hong Kong and Macao youth entrepreneurship enterprises to settle in the district.
At the event, seven Hong Kong and Macao enterprises from fields such as biomedicine, intellectual property, and the internet have settled in Huangpu and held a joint signing ceremony for the settlement. So far, more than 1,400 enterprises from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan have registered in Huangpu District.
