Zhong Nanshan: Two vaccines against XBB approved in China

"There are already two vaccines against XBB that have been preliminarily approved in China, and three or four more will be approved soon. With more effective vaccines, China can lead the world." China's renowned respiratory disease expert Zhong Nanshan on Monday morning said at the Greater Bay Area Science Forum.

He also noted, "With regard to China's 2023 second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic (XBB) trend, it's predicted that the end of May will see about 40 million infections per week. And there will be about 65 million infections per week at the end of June."
