The Permanent Site of the IFF will function as the venue of the IFF annual conference and other international conferences among Belt and Road countries after the project is put into operation in 2023. It’s anticipated to be the platform for cooperation in finance industries and dialogues with Belt and Road countries.

Located on the eastern tip of Hengli Island at the launching area of Pearl Bay, the project’s total construction area is about 256 thousand square meters while the building height is about 50 meters.

The project integrates the design concept of "kapok in full bloom". The international conference centre of the project looks like a blooming kapok, with its grid steel structure as the "skeleton", the metal roof as the "petals", and the glass lighting roof as the "stamen".

As of January this year, the construction of the main structure, steel structure, and metal roof of the Permanent Site of IFF has been completed.
