The festival kicked off with a symphonic poem performed by artists from Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao. The symphonic poem is inspired by "Thousands Miles of Mountains and Rivers", Wang Ximeng's famous landscape painting from the Song Dynasty, featuring the collaboration of soprano and Chinese traditional instruments like pipa, erhu, and bamboo flute.
