The 33rd Summer Olympics will be held in Paris, France, from July 26 to August 11, 2024. More than 10,000 athletes from around 200 countries and regions are expected to attend the Games, and around 15 million visitors are expected to visit Paris. To ensure the safe travel of Chinese citizens to France, the Chinese Embassy in France has recently issued a consular reminder on ticketing matters for the Paris Olympic Games.
Tickets for the Paris Olympics are only available on the official website. Be sure to buy tickets from the Paris Olympics ticketing website (https://tickets.paris2024.org/), which is available in both French and English.
Buying tickets for the Paris Olympics requires real name identification. If you are unable to attend the event after purchasing a ticket, you can transfer or resell it (with a 5% handling fee). Transfers or resales must be conducted through the official designated App (Paris 2024 Tickets) or the website (https://ticket-resale.paris2024.org/). Any ticket sales or transfers conducted on platforms outside of the official channels will be considered illegal and may not only result in the cancellation of the ticket, but also be punished by up to six months in prison and a fine of €22,500.
