Starting from July 13, when applying for work permits, the salary standard for foreigners working in Guangzhou has been adjusted to 10,449 RMB per month and 125,388 RMB per year, according to the latest notice from the Guangzhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau.
Foreign talent whose average salary is no less than 6 times the standard (62,694 RMB per month) will meet the accreditation criteria for A type foreign high-end talents. While foreign talent whose average salary is no less than 4 times the standard (41,996 RMB per month) will meet the accreditation criteria for B type foreign high-end talent.
The salary standard is formulated with reference to the average salary of people employed in urban units in the previous year. In addition to the salary standard for a work permit, do you know the average monthly salary in your city?
On July 12, Zhilian Recruitment, one of the major recruitment platforms in China, released the latest average monthly salary of 38 cities in China. In the second quarter of 2023, the average monthly salary of Guangdong’s four cities, namely Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and Dongguan, has exceeded 10,000 RMB.
Among them, Shenzhen ranks third in China with 12,774 RMB per month. While Guangzhou, Zhuhai, and Dongguan has an average monthly salary of 10,883 RMB, 10,425 RMB, and 10,068 RMB, respectively.
