2023 Galaxy Holding Group Guangzhou Open (Guangzhou Open) will be held at the Nansha International Tennis Center in Guangzhou city from September 16 to 23 as the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) updated its tournaments calendar recently, according to Guangzhou Open's official WeChat account on August 2.
The Guangzhou Open is an annual women's professional tennis tournament on the WTA Tour. It has been held in Guangzhou since 2004, and this year marks the first time in Nansha District. Li Na, the leading Chinese tennis player, was the inaugural champion of the Guangzhou Open.
This year's Guangzhou Open is hosted by the Chinese Tennis Association and the Administration of Sport of Guangzhou Municipality.
With a total area of 39,800 square meters, Nansha International Tennis Center has 18 courts in total, including 12 hard courts and six clay courts.
