On November 28, Guangzhou reported 7,279 local COVID-19 cases, among which 98 were found in communities. 5,428 people were discharged from makeshift hospitals, adding the total discharged number to 32,669 since the outbreak of this round of the epidemic.

Haizhu District reported 6,932 new infections, and new infections were concentrated in Kanglu, Datang, Longtan, and Jinzili areas. Nanzhou and Jianghai subdistricts have shown an increasing number of infections in urban villages. Xingang and Ruibao subdistricts reported sporadic and clustered increasing cases.

The epidemic in Tianhe District is seeing a rapid development, with a high risk of social transmission. Infections were mainly concentrated in Yuanchun, Changxing, Tangxia, and Zhuji subdistricts. The cluster epidemic continued to develop in Yuanchun and Changxing, showing a local cluster outbreak situation within the region. The epidemics in Zhuji and Tangxia spread widely, with a dense population and high risk of community transmission. Yuangang Subdistrict detected multiple mixed pipe abnormal PCR test results.

In Panyu District, the epidemic is mainly concentrated in Luopu, Dashi, Zhongcun, Hualong, and Shawan subdistricts. The cluster cases continued to grow, with a rapidly increasing number of patients spreading to neighboring areas. Infections were mainly detected in key areas, while sporadic cases have been detected in multiple places adjacent to key areas. The prevention has become tough with the pressure on both local and imported cases.

Baiyun, Yuexiu, and Huangpu districts found increasing cases out of the controlled areas. The epidemic situation in Liwan, Huadu, Nansha, Zengcheng, and Conghua districts was relatively stable.

On November 28, Guangdong reported 469 new locally transmitted confirmed cases and 7,725 asymptomatic cases.
