Guangdong Olympic Centre Stadium (广东奥林匹克体育中心游泳馆)

This is the main venue for the swimming and diving events of the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games, which has hosted many international competitions. Disinfected with ozone and infrared light, the pool water is clean, transparent and odorless. Moreover, the water is at a constant temperature, so you can also enjoy swimming in winter there.

Tianhe Natatorium (天河体育中心游泳馆)

Situated in the Tianhe Stadium, it is the largest indoor public swimming pool in downtown Guangzhou, with an area of 23,000 square meters. With good water quality as well as competition pools of the international standard, training pools and diving pools, it has hosted many world-class competitions.

Opening hours: 7:00-9:00; 14:30-16:30; 18:00-21:00

Xijiao Swimming Plaza (西郊游泳场)

Built in 1930, Xijiao Swimming Plaza is the first swimming pool with an imitation beach. It has always been a good place for the residents to enjoy physical fitness and leisure life. The pool area is about 9,000 square meters with about 6,000 square meters of the beach area. It offers five functional areas including a competition pool, a constant temperature pool, and a children's pool.

Open-air pool: 7:00-17:45

Indoor pool: 7:00-18:45

Fitness pool & beach pool: 7:00-21:30

Competition pool: 7:00-10:00; 15:00-17:30

Children's Pool: 15:00-21:15 from Monday to Friday, 9:30-21:15 from Saturday to Sunday

Haijiao Honglou Swimming Pool (海角红楼游泳场)

Haijiao Honglou Swimming Pool is the earliest natural swimming pool in Guangzhou. It has a coastline of 1,000 meters and three pools: a deep pool, a shallow pool and a children's pool. In addition, there are also two football pitches and an archery hall at the venue.

Opening hours: 9:30-11:15; 15:00-17:15; 19:00-21:15

Kuangquan Swimming Pool (矿泉游泳场)

This swimming pool uses natural mineral water, which is rich in various minerals, and the water temperature is also maintained at about 26-32 degrees Celsius all year round. In summer it feels cool to swim, while in winter it feels as comfortable as soaking in a hot spring.

Yuexiu Swimming Pool (越秀游泳场)

This outdoor pool is surrounded by the views of Yuexiu Park, providing pools of different depths to suit various people. It has hosted many international swimming and diving events. China's national diving team used to train here to adapt to the outdoor competition venue for the Rio Olympics, athletes such as Chen Xiaoxia, Yang Jinghui, Chen Aisen and many other Olympic champions have trained or competed in this pool. Therefore, it is also known as the "cradle of champions" by locals.

Opening hours: 9:00-11:00; 15:30-17:30; 19:00-21:00 (closed on Wednesday morning)

Gold Coast Water Park (珠江游泳场)

Zhujiang Swimming Pool, also called Gold Coast Water Park (黄金海岸水上乐园), is located on the bank of the Pearl River. Members of the public can enjoy the river view while playing in the water, and you can also see the Canton Tower and the Pearl River cruise, etc. It boasts a variety of water rides, such as slides and drifting, as well as standard swimming pools.

Opening hours: 10:00-20:00 from Monday to Friday, 10:00-22:00 from Saturday to Sunday
