Knife attack reported at Guangzhou South Railway Station, one injured

A man armed with a fruit knife injured one person at the Guangzhou South Railway Station on May 15 at around 2:00 p.m., according to the Guangzhou Railway Public Security Bureau.

The incident occurred in the northwest area on the first floor of the station, outside the security checkpoint. The suspect, a 35-year-old man surnamed Li, was subdued at the scene by police.

The injured was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment and is reported to be in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the incident is underway.
