Results can be obtained in 40 minutes by using the kit with rapid PCR amplification, according to BGI's relevant person in charge.
On the same day, Guangzhou Daan Gene Co., Ltd. also announced that its product "Detection Kit for Monkeypox Virus DNA (PCR-Fluorescence Probing)" has obtained the CE certification. The announcement disclosed that it has extended the application of products and can meet the demands of overseas markets in a timely manner.
Recently, monkeypox has become a global keyword in the past week. On May 21, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced that a total of 92 laboratory confirmed cases and 28 suspected cases under investigation were reported in 12 non-endemic countries from May 13 to 21.
