On the morning of April 28th, Lingdingyang Bridge of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link saw its closure, meaning all sections of bridges of this link have been joined together.
The total length of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link is 24 kilometres long, and it will open to traffic in 2024. Its bridge project extends 17 kilometres, including Lingdingyang Bridge, Zhongshan Bridge, and Non-Navigational Bridge. The main part of Zhongshan Bridge extends 580 meters and was closured in June of 2022.
As a part of this link, the undersea immersed tube tunnel has completed the installation of 31 pipe sections, and is undergoing its last pipe section’s installation. The tunnel’s construction is planned to be finished by the end of 2023.
