This terminal is the first LNG terminal with a single-site outbound capacity of six million tons per year approved for the first phase of the project, and the first LNG terminal to be built with three 200,000 cubic meter full containment tanks at once.

The construction of the supporting wharf includes the construction of a new 217,000 square meter LNG ship berth with a work boat berth, an LNG wharf, navigation aids, etc. The designed annual unloading and handling capacity of the wharf is six million tons. The main body of the wharf was completed in June this year.

As an energy infrastructure construction project that integrates liquefied natural gas unloading, storage, transportation, and distribution, it is an important part of the national energy strategy and the construction of the natural gas production, supply, storage, and marketing system in Guangdong Province. The completion of the terminal will help the project to gather and develop with surrounding energy projects as a green energy industry cluster near the port, thus enhancing the energy supply and reserve capacity in eastern Guangdong and surrounding areas.
