A new health station in the Macau New Neighbourhood (MNN) residential estate officially opened on November 11 in Hengqin, offering free medical services to Macao residents. The station is modeled after the public healthcare system in Macao, providing a range of services, including adult healthcare, women's health, children's health, and walk-in general medical services.

The health station aims to make life easier for Macao residents living in Hengqin. During the first phase of operation, residents can receive free medical consultations for common chronic conditions such as hypertension, as well as treatment for acute illnesses like colds and fevers. To access these services, residents need only present their Macao ID or proof of residence or employment in Hengqin.

The pharmacy at the station is stocked with medicines from Macao. The medicines available are identical to those used in Macao's healthcare centers, ensuring continuity of care. According to the station's director, Huang Zibing, the pharmacy will adjust its stock to meet the demand for medicines from the Chinese mainland as needed in the future.

The Guangdong Drug Administration has approved 296 types of medicines from Macao for use in designated medical institutions within Hengqin. These medicines are being transported from Macao and are carefully labeled with unique codes to track their flow through the food and drug safety management system, ensuring full regulatory oversight.

Currently, the health station is staffed with two doctors, two nurses, two pharmacists, and one nursing assistant, all dispatched from Macao healthcare centers.
