Reform and innovation in Nansha District are highlighted, with a focus on improving the market environment and strengthening and standardizing whole-process supervision, according to the guidelines jointly released by the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Commerce, and the State Administration for Market Regulation.

A total of 15 measures are listed in the guideline based on the blueprint for Guangzhou's Nansha District to further enhance cooperation and expand opening-up in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), which was issued by China's State Council in June 2022.

The guideline is expected to facilitate the development and opening-up in Nansha District. It points out that the district will promote the implementation of access standards for unmanned air, sea, and land vehicles in the transportation system. These standards will be prioritized in the fields of industrial production, logistics distribution, emergency rescue, urban management, and maritime search. The GBA Unmanned Vehicles Incubator will be established in Nansha.

Innovative resources will be encouraged to be invested in the research, development, and commercialization of natural gas hydrate to promote the innovative development of marine technology.

In terms of improving the market environment for the application of advanced technology, the development of the whole industrial chain for commercial aerospace, biomedicine, and marine science will be accelerated.

The market access for pharmaceuticals and medical devices will be relaxed.

The 144-hour visa-free transit policy and cruise tour visa-free policy will be supported and implemented in Nansha for expats.
