Guangdong's per capita disposable income up 4.9 pct in H1

Guangdong's per capita disposable income stood at 24,749 RMB in the first half of 2022, up 4.9 percent year on year in nominal terms, according to the latest data from the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Guangdong.

In terms of permanent residence, urban per capita disposable income came in at 30,057 RMB, up 4.0 percent in nominal terms, while per capita income in rural areas stood at 12,158 RMB, up 5.8 percent in nominal terms.



During the same period, the province's per capita consumption expenditure was 15,733 RMB, a nominal increase of 3.2 percent over the previous year.

In terms of urban and rural areas, the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents was 18,103 RMB, an increase of 2.0 percent, while that of the rural residents was 10,111 RMB, an increase of 6.4 percent.

From January to June, 2022, the consumer price index (CPI) and the producer price index (PPI) grew by 2.1 percent and 4.5 percent year on year respectively.

With regards to different consumption categories, the prices of 8 types of goods (services) registered a growth rate between 0.4 percent and 7.0 percent.



According to some experts, the price of commodities across the country has maintained a momentum of moderate growth. The stable supply of agricultural products is one of the most important contributing factors.

Guangdong achieved a grain production of 686,000 tons (mainly including corn, beans and tuber crops) in the first half of 2022. Compared with that in 2021, it increased by 40,000 tons or 6.1 percent year on year.

In terms of livestock, the number of live pigs was 18,988,700 in the first half of 2022, up by 6.9 percent year on year.
