After almost half a month of chilly weather across Guangdong, the week leading into 2024 will be much warmer, with the highest temperatures likely to rise to 20 degrees Celsius, according to the Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.
There will still be a large temperature difference between day and night this week. Frosts are anticipated in the morning in northern Guangdong and Zhaoqing on Tuesday. According to the weather forecast, cloudy skies accompanied by light rain are expected for the south-central region from December 26 to December 28.

On December 26, the western Pearl River, southern coastal areas, Maoming, and Yangjiang will be sunny to cloudy. Zhanjiang will see cloudy-to-overcast skies with scattered light rain. Other regions will see sunny skies with cloudy periods. The lows will hover around 2-5 degrees Celsius in northern Guangdong and Zhaoqing, 9-13 degrees Celsius in southern coastal areas, and 5-8 degrees Celsius in the remaining regions.
On December 27, western Guangdong, the south-central Pearl River Delta, and eastern Guangdong will be overcast with cloudy spells and scattered light rain. Other regions will witness cloudy-to-overcast skies with localized light rain. The lows will range between 5and 8 degrees Celsius in northern Guangdong, 13 and 16 degrees Celsius in southern Guangdong, and 9and 13 degrees Celsius in the remaining areas.
On December 28, overcast skies with scattered light rain are projected for western Guangdong, the Pearl River Delta, eastern Guangdong, Heyuan, and Meizhou. Other regions will be cloudy to sunny.
