Guangzhou Metro has announced the successful completion of the installation of prefabricated box girders on the north extension of the Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway. The bridge between Qingcheng Station and Guangdong Vocational Education Center Station has been connected.

With a total length of 19.737 kilometers, the main line of the north extension is an important infrastructure to support the rapid development of the Guangdong Vocational Education Center.
After completion, it will seamlessly integrate with the first phase of Guangzhou-Qingyuan Intercity Railway and its south extension, which has a total length of 79.866 kilometers and 14 stations. The railway will connect important hubs, including Guangdong Vocational Education Center, Qingyuan Chimelong, Guangzhou North Railway Station, and Guangzhou Baiyun Railway Station.
