On July 4th, Chaozhou East Branch Line of this Expressway was linked up in both directions as the precast concrete beams were all put in place. Subsequently, it will enter the next construction phase of road surface.

Located in Chaozhou city, the branch line runs roughly north-south. With a total length of about 6.3 kilometers, it has four lanes in both directions and a designed speed of 100 km/h.

Chaozhou, a city in eastern Guangdong province, is known for its distinctive local culture, including its cuisine, dialect, local opera, and Kung fu tea.

Since its launch on December 28th, 2019, the branch line project has been steadily advanced. It is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

By then, the expressway network of Chaozhou will be further optimized and Ningbo-Dongguan expressway will be connected with Shenyang–Haikou Expressway.
