On November 20th, the 40th Thailand International Motor Expo commenced at the IMPACT Challenger in Bangkok. GAC Aion debuted five prominent car models and showcased its core technologies at the exhibition for the first time. During an interview with GDToday on-site, Mr. Ma Haiyang, CEO of GAC Aion Thailand, emphasized the company's endeavor to establish trust among Thai consumers through concrete actions.

"We understand that building a brand takes time and requires solid groundwork. Whether in sales, brand marketing, or after-sales service, we aim to gradually gain the trust of Thai consumers through these initiatives," stated Ma Haiyang.

He expressed GAC Aion Thailand's aspiration to leverage the exceptional sales opportunity provided by the motor show to offer more benefits to Thai consumers, thereby bolstering their confidence in purchasing. Highlighting the significance of brand building, Ma Haiyang underscored the importance of consumer experience: "For Aion, we hope that consumers can personally experience and feel our vehicles. This is crucial for us at present. We aim to attract more attention and enable consumers to perceive our brand through our products."

Regarding sales targets, Ma Haiyang revealed that GAC Aion's sales goal in Thailand for this year stands at 3,000 vehicles, with approximately 1,200 to 1,300 orders received thus far. Furthermore, he shared that there are already around 50 dealership stores and plans to reach 70 by the end of next year.

"Our objective is not only sales but also to provide Thai consumers with a completely new high-tech automotive experience," added Ma Haiyang.

When talking about the advantages of being a Guangdong-based enterprise entering Thailand's new energy market, Ma Haiyang highlighted, "As a local enterprise from Guangzhou, also a leading new energy enterprise nationwide, we are backed by Guangzhou Automobile Group, a Fortune Global 500 company, offering stability and longevity. Additionally, Aion is an enterprise capable of independent research and has achieved significant success and acquired rich experience and technological advantages in China's new energy market. Moreover, the exchange of experiences with Japanese joint ventures within Guangzhou Automobile Group has provided robust support for quality control."

As one of the world's top three and China's top two global electric vehicle leaders, GAC Aion is continually advancing its global blueprint through its globalization strategy and innovative initiatives. Presently, the GAC Aion Thailand factory is rapidly under construction in the EEC Economic Zone in Rayong, with a total investment of 2.3 billion Thai Baht. The factory, designed with an annual production capacity of 50,000 units, will be built in two phases, with the first phase expected to be completed by July next year.
