Starting from Xili Station in Shenzhen, it passes through Shenzhen Airport Station, Dongguan Binhai Bay Station, Nansha Station in Guangzhou, Zhongshan North Station, Henglan Station before terminating at Jiangmen Station.

With a total length of 116.3 kilometers and a design speed of 250 km/h, the main rail line will connect five GBA cities, including Shenzhen, Dongguan, Guangzhou, Zhongshan, and Jiangmen.

Upon completion, it will take just one hour to travel from Shenzhen to Jiangmen and half an hour from Qianhai and Shekou Area of China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Shenzhen to Nansha Area of Guangzhou (Nanshan FTZ).

As a vital part of Shenzhen-Maoming high-speed railway, this project will further improve the high-speed railway network in eastern and western Guangdong and advance the “One Core Region, One Belt and One Area Initiative” ( The Core Region of the Pearl River Delta, the Coastal Economic Belt and the Northern Ecological Development Area).
