On May 22, Guangdong reported 1 new local asymptomatic infection in Zhaoqing. The patient was detected during centralized quarantine, who previously returned from another provincial-level region.

A recovered COVID-19 patient tested positive in Zhaoqing
The case is a 23-year-old male, who tested positive for coronavirus in another provincial-level region on May 5, and received quarantine treatment.
Having finished quarantine treatment, he returned to Zhaoqing on May 20, and was transferred to a centralized quarantine site under closed-loop management. During quarantine, he tested positive again.
COVID-19 restrictions adjusted in Guangzhou's Yuexiu and Liwan districts
*COVID control lifted in Yuexiu's Kuangquan Subdistrict
According to the Notice No. 26 issued by Yuexiu COVID-19 Control and Prevention Command Center on the evening of May 22, starting from today (May 23), partial lockdown areas and restricted areas have been cleared in Kuangquan Subdistrict:
1.Partial lockdown has been lifted in Xinglong Community (兴隆社区).
2.Restrictions have been lifted in other areas of Kuangquan Subdistrict.
Since restrictions have been lifted, Kuangquan Subdistrict will resume regular epidemic prevention and control.
*Liwan downgrades COVID restrictions in Zhanqian Subdistrict
Starting from midnight of May 22, Liwan district has adjusted lockdown, partial lockdown and restricted areas in Zhanqian Subdistrict:
1.Lockdown has been lifted in Buyun Tiandi Second Phase (步云天地二期) and Xindalu Shoe Material Market (新大陆鞋材市场), and the two places have been adjusted into partial lockdown areas.
2.Partial lockdown has been lifted in the area enclosed by the south of Zhanxi Road, west of Guangyuan West Road Side Road, north of Huanshi West Road, and east of Guangzhou-Foshan-Zhaoqing Intercity Railway (站前街道站西路以南、广园西路辅路以西、环市西路以北、广佛肇城际铁路以东所围合之原管控区). The above areas have been adjusted to restricted areas.
3.Restrictions have been lifted in the area enclosed by the south of Zhanxi Road, east of Guangyuan West Road Side Road, west of Huimei International Clothing City Wall, north of Huanshi West Road (站前街道站西路以南、广园西路辅路以东、汇美服装城围墙以西、环市西路以北所围合区域), and the area has resumed regular epidemic prevention and control.

Guangzhou CDC on May 21 released a reminder for visitors to the city:
Arrivals with a travel history to Hedong District, Nankai District, and Jinnan District of Tianjin (天津市河东区、南开区、津南区) since May 6, as well as residents with a red or yellow Suikang code, should report to their community (village), place of work or hotel, and cooperate with corresponding health management measures.
Zhanjiang clears medium-risk area
Starting from 14:00 on May 22, Zhanjiang Jinguo Warehousing Co., Ltd (湛江市巾帼仓储有限公司) has been adjusted from medium-risk to a low-risk area. Currently, the whole city of Zhanjiang is low-risk, and Zhanjiang's residents have shaken off asterisk (*) travel code.
Commencing 13:00 on May 23, Potou District will reopen public places across the district in an orderly manner. Schools that were previously suspended due to epidemic prevention and control will also resume offline teaching.
