Hengqin will play a notable role at the 29th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF), which will kick off next Wednesday (October 16) at the Venetian Macao, running for four consecutive days. The exhibition will feature over ten promotional activities focused on Portuguese-speaking countries, along with a dedicated "Portuguese-speaking Countries Market Zone."

As the first exhibition in Macao accredited by the Global Association for the Exhibition Industry (UFI), this year's event aims to create a trade exchange platform for both domestic and international exhibitors with exhibitions, forums, project presentations, and networking sessions. It will focus on five key areas: "1+4" industries, Sino-Portuguese trade, Hengqin-Macao synergy, Macao-Portugal business opportunities, international chain brands, and the IP industry, facilitating connections among participants to tap into global resources and expand business networks.

Through the MIF this year, Hengqin attempts to further highlight its latest advancements and strengths in technological innovation, cultural tourism and exhibitions, modern finance, trade logistics, and healthcare. A nearly 900-square-meter Hengqin Pavilion will host over 50 key enterprises from the island, showcasing the industrial development achievements over the past three years to both domestic and international audiences.

According to the Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the participating entities will include government bodies, trade associations, and companies from Portuguese-speaking countries, spanning sectors such as agricultural technology and machinery, agricultural products, cross-border e-commerce, and logistics. The exhibition will also feature two evaluation activities, with over 20 suppliers and agents of wine, spirits, and coffee from Portuguese-speaking countries and Macao presenting more than 40 products.
