With the arrival of Cold Dew (the seventeenth of the 24 solar terms), south China is stepping into the deep autumn. It is forecast that from the night of Oct. 9 to Oct. 10, influenced by the next wave of cold air, most of Guangdong province will see a drop of daily mean temperature by 3 ℃ to 5 ℃, according to Guangdong Meteorological Observatory.

From the night of Oct. 8 to Oct. 9, west Guangdong and the western part of the Pearl River Delta will see showers, with localized heavy rain or rainstorm in Leizhou Peninsula. The rest of the province will be cloudy with sunny periods and localized showers. The highs in the northern part of north Guangdong and coastal areas of west Guangdong will be 26 ℃ to 30 ℃, 30 ℃ to 33 ℃ in other areas.
From the night of Oct. 9 to Oct. 10, most of the province will be clear to cloudy. Leizhou Peninsula will be rainy to cloudy. The highs in north Guangdong, west Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta will be 24 ℃ to 28 ℃, 29 ℃ to 31 ℃ in other areas.
On Oct. 11, most of the province is forecast to be sunny to cloudy. The highs in north Guangdong, west Guangdong and the Pearl River Delta will be 24 ℃ to 28 ℃, 29 ℃ to 31 ℃ in other areas.
Guangzhou is expected to see a few consecutive clear weather days with an obvious drop of temperature on Oct. 10.
