An event promoting cross-border e-commerce in Guangdong's counties was held in Shantou on November 21.
E-commerce platforms and service institutions such as Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, SHEIN, Amazon, eBay, Shopee, Mercadolibre, and AliExpress were invited to participate in the event.
With the theme of "Focusing on County Economy, Developing Featured Industries, and Boosting Cross-border E-commerce", the event aims to provide professional trade services for counties in Guangdong Province, which will contribute to the "High-quality Development Project for Guangdong Counties, Towns, and Villages" project.

An official from CCPIT Guangdong said that cross-border e-commerce, as a new motivator for foreign trade, is conducive to developing local featured industries, such as Simiao rice, Lingnan vegetables and fruits, Southern Chinese Medicine, tea, and floral plantation.
"We have been committed to supporting the development of local featured industries with a focus on enterprises of local brands. We will help them sell their products in global markets through this event," said He Guobo, Head of Business Development of eBay China.

The Longhu District Cross-border E-commerce Conference and the Supply-Demand Matchmaking Conference were held on November 21. Lazada, a Southeast Asia e-commerce platform, launched full management services. Amazon Global Selling, SHEIN, eBay, Shopee, and Mercadolibre also introduced their services during the event.
In addition, industrial visits and a special training session for talents were organized during the event, and representatives of leading e-commerce platforms were invited to conduct training. The training covered such areas as foreign trade practices, cross-border e-commerce operation skills, and chances in global new products and new brands.

The event was hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Guangdong Committee (CCPIT Guangdong) and the People's Government of Shantou Municipality, and organized by the China Council for Promotion of International Trade Shantou Branch (CCPIT Shantou) and Guangdong Live E-commerce Association (GDZB).
