On May 16, Guangdong reported no new local COVID-19 cases.
Yuexiu, Liwan, and Zengcheng started a new round of mass COVID testing today (May 17), and restrictions on Helong Subdistrict of Baiyun have been lifted.

Yuexiu starts mass COVID testing again from the morning to the evening on May 17.
On May 17, Liwan also conducts district-wide testing.
(1) Xicun, Nanyuan, Zhanqian, and Caihong Subdistricts (西村、南源、站前、彩虹共4条街道): from 9 am to 12:30 pm;
(2) A total of 18 Subdistricts, including Jinhua, Fengyuan, Duobao, Longjin, Changhua, Lingnan, Hualin, Shamian, Qiaozhong, Shiweitang, Huadi, Chajiao, Chongkou, Baihedong, Dongjiao, Dongsha, Zhongnan, and Hailong (金花、逢源、多宝、龙津、昌华、岭南、华林、沙面、桥中、石围塘、花地、茶滘、冲口、白鹤洞、东漖、东沙、中南、海龙共18条街道) start testing at 12 noon.
From 10 am to 10 pm on May 17, Zengcheng District will be conducting mass COVID testing in several towns and subdistricts, including Shitan Town, Zhongxin Town, Paitan Town, Zhengguo Town, Xiaolou Town, Xiancun Town, Licheng Subdistrict, Lihu Subdistrict, Zengjiang Subdistrict, Zhucun Subdistrict. (石滩镇、中新镇、派潭镇、正果镇、小楼镇、仙村镇、荔城街、荔湖街、增江街、朱村街等10个镇街辖区). Residents of, and visitors to, Guangzhou need to be tested. However, people during quarantine and health monitoring at home will be arranged separately.
On May 17, Wenquan Town and Liangkou Town of Conghua District (从化区温泉镇和良口镇) conduct mass COVID testing.
On May 17, Baiyun District issued a new notice to remove COVID restrictions and resume normalized epidemic prevention and control in Helong Subdistrict.
Guangzhou CDC: Visitors with a travel history to these places should report immediately
On May 16, Guangzhou CDC issued a notice that arrivals with a travel history to the following places should report immediately:
Nanhai District of Foshan City, Guangdong Province (广东省佛山市南海区),
Beichen District of Tianjin, Dongli District of Tianjin (天津市北辰区、天津市东丽区),
Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan Province (云南省红河哈尼族彝族自治州),
and Anqing City of Anhui Province (安徽省安庆市) commencing May 1;
and Dazhou City of Sichuan Province (四川省达州市) commencing May 9.
Individuals with a red or yellow "Suikang code" should report to their community (village), place of work and/or hotel. They need to receive the appropriate health management as required by the community.
Zhanjiang resumes part of road passenger transportation services
On May 16, Zhanjiang has resumed road passenger transportation services (except in "three areas", namely the lockdown area, partial lockdown area, and restricted area).
It includes normal operation of coaches across counties, cities and provinces, chartered cars, buses, taxis, and online car-hailing services.
Furthermore, passengers who leave Zhanjiang need to show a negative nucleic acid test result within 48 hours. Except for the bus lines passing the "three areas", the rest of the bus lines will gradually resume normal operations.
