Zhuhai leads China's financing case of digital twin data assets on the balance sheet

Zhuhai's Xiangzhou District has recently unveiled China's first financing case of digital twin data assets on the balance sheet, marking a significant step in China's technological landscape.

The inclusion of data assets in the balance sheet refers to the recognition of data resources as an "asset" in the enterprise's balance sheet, which is conducive to demonstrating the value of enterprise data resources and providing momentum for the in-depth development and utilization of enterprise data.

Under the guidance of the Xiangzhou District Government Service and Data Administration, Syncsmart Technology (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd., in collaboration with Guangdong Tianwei Technology Co., Ltd. and Pan-China Certified Public Accountants LLP, has initiated the pilot project for data asset entry.

It involves the integration of 3D model assets representing urban components, notably focusing on vegetation. By including these assets within the accounting framework under "intangible assets-data resources", the project pioneers a novel approach to recognizing the value of digital twin data.

Leveraging the services of the Xiangzhou District Data Element Association, Syncsmart Technology (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd. received a credit of two million RMB from the Zhuhai Branch of the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
