On May 20, the Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission issued a notice for visitors to the city. Arrivals with a travel history to the following places in the past 14 days should report to their community (village), place of work, and hotel in advance or within 12 hours after arriving in Guangzhou:
Shanghai,
Guang'an City of Sichuan Province,
as well as Chaoyang District and Fangshan District of Beijing.
Moreover, they should strictly conduct the health management measures of "7-day home quarantine + 7-day home health monitoring".

According to Guangzhou Municipal Health Commission, home quarantine can be conducted under the following conditions:
Individuals under home quarantine and medical observation need to live separately, and the quarantine room cannot share the central air conditioner with other rooms.
The building where the quarantine room is located should have a septic tank in normal operation.
Anyone who lives with the individual under quarantine is required to undergo home quarantine at the same time, and shall not go out.
If the residence doesn't meet the above requirements, they need to undergo centralized quarantine.
Guangzhou continues to implement targeted prevention and control measures for arrivals as follows:
nucleic acid tests for arrivals in Guangzhou;
screening of the flights, trains, and coaches to Guangzhou from key areas, and closed-loop health management measures for passengers upon their arrivals;
testing sites are placed at the entrance of highway, as well as checks of health & travel codes.
Visitors with a travel history to the COVID affected areas in the past 14 days should cooperate with the health management measures.
Currently, the "Suikang" WeChat mini-program has added "Report of Arrivals in Guangzhou" for visitors, and visitors to Guangzhou from another provincial-level region can report in advance.
