Guangzhou reports 1+4 new local cases
On September 22, Guangzhou reported 1 new locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case, detected among arrivals from another provincial-level region. Moreover, 4 asymptomatic cases were reported, among which 3 cases were detected during screening of close contacts under quarantine, and the remaining 1 among arrivals from another provincial-level region.
Locally transmitted confirmed COVID-19 case 1: A female, 19 years old, who took flight CZ688W from another provincial-level region and arrived at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport on September 21. It had been reported by another provincial-level region that a passenger on the flight had an abnormal nucleic acid test result. Therefore, the individual was transferred to centralized isolation under closed-loop management upon arrival. She tested positive during centralized quarantine.
Asymptomatic case 1: A female, 51 years old, living in Dengfeng Subdistrict, Yuexiu District (越秀区登峰街道), was a close contact with the asymptomatic case reported on September 18 and was detected during centralized quarantine.
Asymptomatic case 2: A female, 64 years old, lives in Changgang Subdistrict, Haizhu District (海珠区昌岗街道). She was a close contact with the asymptomatic case reported on September 21 and was detected during centralized quarantine.
Asymptomatic case 3: A female, 68 years old, lives in Jinhua Subdistrict, Liwan District (荔湾区金花街道). She was a close contact with the asymptomatic case reported on September 18 and was detected during the centralized quarantine.
Asymptomatic case 4: A female, 18 years old, had the same track as the above-mentioned confirmed case. The moment she arrived in Guangzhou, she was transferred to a centralized isolation venue for health management and tested positive during quarantine.
Shenzhen adds 1 new local case
On September 22, Shenzhen reported 1 new confirmed case, detected during centralized quarantine. The case is a 61 year-old female, living in No.5, Yonghe Road, Fuhai Subdistrict, Bao'an District (宝安区福海街道永和路5号).
Preliminary epidemiological investigation shows that the above-mentioned case has been undergoing quarantine recently, with no tracks at the community level.
Report if you have these tracks in Guangzhou
On September 19 and 20, people who have taken Guangzhou Metro Line 2 (Gongyuanqian-Changgang) and these buses should report to the community (village), and conduct "two tests in three days" and health monitoring, according to Guangzhou CDC.
