800 Drones illuminate night sky to celebrate 3rd anniversary of Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin

On September 15, the first day of the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday, the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin celebrated its third anniversary with a grand event, featuring a plethora of exciting activities including drone performances, stage plays, band performances, a gourmet food market, and camping activities.

The highlight of the evening was the spectacular drone performance involving 800 drones that lit up the night sky. As darkness fell, the drones were launched to weave a series of enchanting patterns in the air. Attendees eagerly captured these stunning moments on their phones and expressed their amazement.

In addition to the impressive drone show, the event introduced an innovative feature of drone food delivery. Residents had the opportunity to interact and check in to receive free beverage vouchers, which would be promptly delivered by drones to designated locations. This initiative not only showcased the convenience and fun brought by technology but also highlighted Hengqin's proactive exploration and practice in the low-altitude economy.

One resident, Ms. Zhang, expressed her excitement upon receiving a tea drink delivered by a drone, stating, "I had only experienced driverless vehicles before; I never thought I could personally experience drone deliveries. It was amazing, and the delivery was incredibly fast!"

The event also offered a variety of artistic performances, featuring stage plays, orchestral music, magic shows, and performances by local pop bands, delivering a series of auditory and visual delights to the audience.

Throughout the event, the Tianmu River Rowing Park also set up a food market and camping activities, providing residents with a wonderful opportunity to relax and connect with nature amidst their busy lives, finding moments of tranquility and harmony.
The event will continue for two more days, inviting residents to join in celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival.
