Recently, a delegation from Huizhou City in South China's Guangdong Province visited the United States and Japan to engage in economic and trade discussions, conduct site inspections, and deepen international cooperation to promote the city's high-quality development.
In the United States, the delegation held in-depth discussions with senior executives of ExxonMobil Corporation. Both sides explored strategies to expedite the commissioning of Phase I of the ExxonMobil Huizhou ethylene project and advance the development of Phase II. The delegation also visited the Shell Houston Technology Center, reaffirming Huizhou's commitment to supporting the construction of Phase III of the Shell Huizhou ethylene project, the polycarbonate project, and the research and development center.
In Japan, the delegation met with representatives from AGC (Asahi Glass) Co., Ltd. and Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation to discuss the companies' long-term growth in Huizhou. The city pledged to enhance service support, optimize its business environment, and align with international standards to better meet the needs of enterprises. Huizhou aims to encourage increased investment from these partners and attract more upstream and downstream enterprises across the industrial chain, fostering a more competitive and modern industrial ecosystem.
