The 2024 Shenzhen Marathon is scheduled to start on December 1st and will open for registration from 10:00 a.m. on September 3rd to 5:00 p.m. on September 18th. This will be the 10th edition of the event since its inception.

The prize for the 2024 Shenzhen Marathon will be up to $54,000. There will be a record-breaking prize of $20,000 for setting a new event record and 100,000 RMB for breaking the record held by a Chinese runner. Additionally, cash prizes will be awarded to the top eight Chinese runners, with the first-place prize amounting to 50,000 RMB. Runners who complete the marathon in under three hours will receive extra benefits.

This year's Shenzhen Marathon features many firsts. It introduces 500 charity entries with funds raised going towards supporting the development of cultural, sports, and charitable activities in Shenzhen and underdeveloped areas. The event will also utilize a digital twin system for racecourse visualization, virtual city promotion, runner services, and others. Moreover, humanoid robots will be deployed to boost the atmosphere for the race.
